New Dues for 2010
As a result of the 37th Grand Lodge Convention held in 2008 the dues structure has been changed. The dues structure is now based on the Grand Lodge per capita tax. This per capita tax calculation will be used through 2011. Thereafter it will be based using the Consumer Price Index. The I.A.M. Constitution and Local 701 Bylaws set our Union dues at 2.375 times the Grand Lodge per capita tax. The 2010 average hourly earning for
I.A.M. members throughout the United States and Canada is $28.14.
Therefore:
$28.14 x 2.375 = $66.83

$5.00 strike fund = $71.83
(rounded to the following nickel per our Bylaws)
$71.85 is the new dues for 2010
The 2010 increase in dues is an increase of $3.35 a month which works out to be an increase of $0.02 per hour. This new dues rate will take effect January 1, 2010.
