Retiree’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon a Great Success
The Annual St. Patrick’s Day luncheon was held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Local 701 Union Hall.
The party was the largest ever in attendance. I would like to personally thank the women who brought all the delicious desserts to this occasion. There was the traditional corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots.
There was also a 50/50 raffle.
The Annual Retiree’s Club Picnic will be held on August 15, 2009 at the Local 701 Union Hall. If you wish to attend this year’s picnic, we are once again asking that you please notify us in advance. Notification is only necessary when attending any Club events when food is being served to ensure enough is ordered.
This year the Club will have a cookout like in years past.
There is no charge for paid up members and everyone is encouraged to attend as we anticipate another fun filled afternoon. If you wish to have the menu changed for any reason please bring forth your suggestion at the next couple Retiree Club Meetings. Please contact Robert Feehan, Bill Washington or Lori Espinosa at the Union Hall to reserve your spot at the Annual Retiree’s Club Picnic. This is important in order to correctly order the amount of food needed for this event.
Members and recent retirees are reminded that dues for 2009 are due now. Dues can be paid at a Club meeting or forwarded to Retiree Club President Bob Feehan. You may also show up at any of the monthly meetings and join. Meetings are held on the third Saturday of every month at the Local 701 Union Hall.
The meetings start at 11:00 a.m. The Retirees Club continues to grow each month with new members.
We ask all those who have retired recently to join and attend our upcoming meetings. You may bring your wife or significant other! See you there.
