Illinois Concealed Carry Class

The 701 Social Club has scheduled new dates for the Illinois 16 hour Concealed Carry Class.

The Classes will be held on September 15 & 22.

The 701 Social Club is presenting Illinois Concealed Carry Classes for our Union members, their family and friends.

In order to apply for a State of Illinois permit you must complete 16 hours of training, which also includes qualifying with your hand gun.  The classroom portion will be conducted at the Local 701 Union Hall in Carol Steam and qualifying will take place at Gat Guns in East Dundee.  All classes will start at 8 a.m.

  • You need a current FOID card if you are a resident of Illinois.
  • For the qualifying portion you will need your own firearm, holster, eye and ear protection and at least 100 rounds of ammunition.

The gun that you qualify with is not necessarily the one that you have to carry; the permit covers you, not the gun.

The cost for this training program is $230.00; which includes classroom training, range qualifying and a certificate of completion.

Fingerprints are not necessary for the permit and without them it could delay your permit processing for up to 90 days.  Finger printing will be available for an additional fee at a location and time to be determined.

Class sizes are limited and will fill quickly.  The class will be filled on a first come first served basis and needs to be paid in full in order to hold your spot.

For more information on this class you can contact Michael Wendling at or 708-828-2001
